Before creating an account on Lover.fm, make sure you have the right to use our Services. This section also describes in detail what you can and cannot do when using the Services, as well as the rights you grant to Lover.fm.

You are not authorized to create an account or use the Services if the following statements are not true, and by using our Services, you represent and warrant that:

• You are a natural person (i.e., not a legal entity, partnership, or other commercial organization) aged 18 or older;
• You meet the legal requirements to enter into a legally binding agreement with Lover.fm;
• You are not in a country subject to U.S. government embargoes, nor in a country designated by the U.S. government as a "state supporting terrorism";
• You are not listed on any list of persons prohibited from doing business with the United States (e.g., the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Specially Designated Nationals list or any other similar government list), and you are not subject to any other similar restrictions;
• The law does not prohibit you from using our Services;
• You have not committed, been convicted of, or pled guilty to a criminal offense or a crime with a guilty verdict (or an offense of similar severity), sexual offense, or any crime involving violence or threats of violence, unless you have received a pardon for a non-violent crime and we have determined that you do not pose a threat to other users of our Services;
• You are not required to register as a sex offender in any state, federal, or local registry;
• You do not have more than one account in our Services;
• Neither we nor our affiliates have previously removed you from our Services or the services of our affiliates, unless you have our explicit written permission to create a new account.

If at any point you cease to meet these requirements, all permissions to access our Services or systems will be automatically revoked, and you must immediately delete your account. We reserve the right to revoke your access to our Services without notice.

You agree to:

• Comply with these Terms and check this page periodically for any updates;
• Follow all applicable laws, including, but not limited to, privacy laws, intellectual property laws, anti-spam laws, and regulatory requirements;
• Use the latest version of the Website and/or App;
• Review our Safety Tips;
• Read and comply with the Community Rules, which are updated from time to time;
• Take reasonable measures to protect the security of your login information.

You agree that you will not do the following:

• Provide false information about your identity, age, or affiliation with any person or entity;
• Use the Services in a way that damages or interferes with their use by others;
• Interfere, disrupt, or negatively impact the platform, servers, or networks of our Services;
• Use our Services for harmful, illegal, or malicious purposes, including but not limited to using Virtual Items for money laundering or other financial crimes;
• Harass, intimidate, stalk, threaten, defame, harm, or otherwise mistreat or cause psychological harm to others;
• Post or share Prohibited Content (see below);
• Request passwords or personal data from other users for commercial or illegal purposes or share personal data without permission;
• Ask for money or other valuables from another user, whether as a gift, loan, or compensation;
• Use another user's account;
• Use our Services in connection with fraud, pyramid schemes, or similar practices;
• Use our Services to finance any political campaign or influence elections, except for sharing your personal political views;
• Violate the license terms granted to you by Lover.fm (see section 6 below);
• Disclose private or confidential information you are not authorized to share;
• Copy, modify, transmit, distribute, or create derivative works from any Subscriber Content or Our Content, or any copyrighted material, images, trademarks, service marks, or other intellectual property without prior written consent from Lover.fm;
• Attempt to impersonate statements approved by Lover.fm;
• Use robots, crawlers, data mining tools, proxies, or other manual or automated devices or methods to access, extract, index, "mine," or reproduce or circumvent the navigation or presentation of our Services;
• Upload viruses or malicious code or otherwise compromise our Services’ security;
• Falsify headers or manipulate identifiers to conceal the origin of information transmitted through our Services;
• "Post" or "mirror" any part of our Services without prior written permission from Lover.fm;
• Use meta-tags, code, or other devices containing links to Lover.fm or its platform to direct anyone to other sites;
• Modify, adapt, sublicense, translate, sell, reconstruct, decompile, or reverse engineer any part of the Service or encourage others to do so;
• Use or develop third-party applications that interact with our Services or Subscriber Content without our written consent, including AI or machine learning systems;
• Use the Lover.fm API or publish it without our permission;
• Investigate, scan, or test the vulnerability of our Service, systems, or networks;
• Encourage, promote, or agree to participate in any activity that violates these Terms;
• Create a new account after suspension or termination unless we give explicit permission;
• File reports of subscriber behavior or content that are false, misleading, or otherwise clearly unfounded, or abuse any Lover.fm reporting or appeals system.

Any license granted to you and any access to the Services automatically terminates if you engage in any of the above actions.

Prohibited Content — Lover.fm prohibits uploading or sharing content that:

• May reasonably be considered offensive, harassing, violent, or causing psychological distress to others;
• Is obscene, pornographic, cruel, or contains nudity;
• Is offensive, threatening, discriminatory, or promotes racism, sexism, hatred, or intolerance;
• Encourages or promotes any illegal activity, including but not limited to terrorism, racial hate, which itself constitutes a criminal offense;
• Promotes or facilitates any activity that could harm users or others, including self-harm, eating disorders, dangerous challenges, or violent extremism;
• Is defamatory, libelous, or false;
• Relates to commercial activities (including sales, contests, promotions, advertising, offering services, sex work, relationships with wealthy older sponsors or courtesans, links to other websites or premium phone numbers);
• Involves or promotes spam;
• Contains spyware, adware, viruses, corrupted files, "worms," or other malicious code intended to disrupt, damage, or impair the functionality of software, hardware, telecommunications, networks, servers, or any other equipment, including trojans or other materials intended to damage, interfere, intercept, or expropriate data or personal information from Lover.fm or other sources;
• Violates third-party rights (including intellectual property and privacy rights);
• Is written by someone other than you unless explicitly permitted by Lover.fm;
• Contains images or likenesses of another person without their consent (or, in the case of minors, without parental or guardian consent);
• Contains images or likenesses of minors without adult supervision or who are undressed, or otherwise depicts or implies minors involved in sexual activity;
• Does not conform to the intended use of the Services; or
• May damage the reputation of Lover.fm or its affiliates, such as defamatory content about Lover.fm or its affiliates or promoting misuse of the Service or any services provided by affiliates.

Uploading or sharing content that violates these Terms ("Prohibited Content") may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

CONTENT
It is important that you understand your rights and responsibilities regarding our content, including any content you provide or post. You are strictly prohibited from posting unacceptable content.

While using our Services, you will have access to: (i) content you upload or provide during use ("Your Content"); (ii) content uploaded or provided by other users ("Subscriber Content"); and (iii) content that Lover.fm provides on and through our Services ("Our Content"). In this agreement, "content" includes, without limitation, all texts, images, videos, audio, and other materials in our Services, including profile information and direct messages between users.
